Luxury Cover is a brand of Cover Club Pty Ltd (ABN 39 686 766 665), an Authorised Representative (No. 001315718) of Shanebridge Pty Ltd (ABN 16 011 049 899), AFSL No. 245566 (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we look after it.

The information we collect

To arrange and service insurance for you we may collect personal information including your name, contact details, date of birth, and details about your property, assets, collections and claims history. Where it is relevant to the cover you ask us to arrange, this may include sensitive information. We collect only what we reasonably need to provide our broking services, and we will tell you if certain information is required to proceed.

How and why we collect it

We usually collect personal information directly from you — when you request a consultation or quote, use our website or calculator, correspond with us, or become a client. We may also collect it from insurers, other intermediaries, and parties you authorise. We collect and use your information to assess your needs, obtain quotations, arrange and renew cover, manage claims, meet our legal and regulatory obligations, and improve our services.

How we use and disclose your information

We disclose your personal information to the insurers and underwriting agencies on our panel, premium funders, claims assessors and other service providers, and to our related entity Cover Club, strictly as needed to arrange and service your insurance. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our insurers or service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Marketing

We may use your contact details to send you information about our services that we think may interest you. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not affect communications we need to send you to service your policies.

Our website and cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and tag management, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. How we protect your information
